Damle Vigneshwara Bhat: The Pillar of Perla School and Builder of Young Minds
Perla School owes much of its legacy to Damle Vigneshwara Bhat from Inguda, who served as a dedicated School Teacher and Head Master from 1963 to 1995. His unwavering commitment to education and the welfare of students left an indelible mark on the community.
A Lone Teacher for 23 Years
From 1963 to 1986, Damle Vigneshwara Bhat was the only teacher at Perla School. For 23 long years, he single-handedly managed the academic, administrative, and extracurricular activities of the school. His tireless efforts ensured that generations of students received quality education despite the limited resources.
Championing Student Welfare
During 1992 to 1998, the government initiated a program to provide milk to all students. However, due to insufficient staff to manage this program, Damle Vigneshwara Bhat went above and beyond by involving his own family to help distribute the milk. Every day at 10:30 AM, students would walk just 100 meters from the school to his home to receive their milk. His selfless dedication ensured that the students received proper nutrition, reflecting his genuine care for their well-being.
A Teacher Who Shaped Lives
Damle Vigneshwara Bhat was more than a teacher; he was a mentor, guide, and builder of young minds. Many of his students went on to achieve remarkable success in various fields, carrying forward the lessons and values he instilled. His legacy is remembered not only through the education he imparted but also through the lives he transformed.
Legacy of Excellence
The story of Damle Vigneshwara Bhat is an inspiration for educators everywhere. His dedication, selflessness, and commitment to student welfare set a benchmark in the field of education. Perla School’s growth and the success of countless students stand as a testament to his remarkable contribution.
