Shishileshwara Temple is a beautiful temple in shishila village located in Belthangady taluk near Dharmasthala. Shishila is also famous for the Matsya (Fish). The Mahashir fish is found in huge numbers in the Kapila river, that flows near the temple. The fishes in this river are believed to be sacred and Prasadam is offered to these fishes after puja everyday. One who feed the fishes in Kapila River can get rid of all types of skin disease. The famous Shishileshwara Temple is not so far from shibaje Durgaparameshwari Temple, we can reach shishila with in 30 minutes through shortcut. There are two shortcuts from shibaje to reach shishila which is one through Padantaje and another one through Perla, Ajiradka to Shishila.

The Astabanda Brahmakalashostava of Shibaje Sri Durgaparameshwari temple held from 2016 February 23rd to 29th. 95 percent of the renovation work is done as on date 13/012/016. The Brahmakalasha and Jatrostava stage, Tent/Shamiyana, Trading malls, Krishi Machineries exhibition stalls are also being made in 5-6 days. The whole work except granite, stone, plastering and wood works was done by the people of the village and neighbor villages by Shramadana. We must appreciate the work done by the villagers.
